We ship both within New Zealand and internationally. For international customers, we can facilitate an Open Bag service to consolidate multiple orders into one shipment and reduce costs.

 

New Zealand Shipping

We use trusted carriers with both urban and rural delivery options. Typical delivery is 1–3 business days after dispatch; occasional delays may occur.

Shipping Rates:

  • Urban Standard: $8.00
  • Urban Discounted (for orders $75+): $5
  • Urban 'Express' via NZ Post: $12.00
  • Rural Delivery: $14.00
  • Rural Discounted (for orders $100+): $5

You may place multiple orders under one shipping fee using the code "MORE" until tracking is issued. Use the same email address as your original order.

Note: Open Cart Hold is not available for domestic (NZ) orders at this time, but is available on a seasonal basis. Rural addresses may be able to have an open order at our discretion but exact shipping applies.

 

Processing & Dispatch

Orders are usually processed over weekends for Monday courier collection, and we aim to do a second mid-week dispatch for Thursday pickup. If you need your order processed within 24 hours of placing the order, please use our express option. You’ll receive an email notification once your order has been dispatched. While we aim to ship promptly, courier pickup delays can occur and delivery timeframes are not guaranteed.

As we operate part-time and are not always at our storage facility, please allow up to 7 additional days for dispatch during busy periods or when we are away. We will post an announcement banner on our website to let our customers know if there is a delay.

 

International Shipping

Shipping is quoted at checkout based on weight (actual and volumetric). For orders over 2kg, a minimum shipping fee is charged at checkout; a final exact shipping invoice is issued once your order is packed and weighed.

Important: International carriers may apply surcharges, security screening fees, or experience extended delivery times. We do not add these costs — you are invoiced only for the shipping & handling required. Any duties, taxes, or import fees remain the buyer’s responsibility.

USA Shoppers: Our website may display as “SOLD OUT” by default. Change your location at the bottom to view available stock, or DM/email us for a quote including approximate landed costs. Prices displayed may differ due to tariffs, taxes, and fees. For the latest updates please see here.

 

International Open Cart

Hold and combine orders for up to 3 months to save on shipping. To activate, please fill out this form and we will be in touch once you're open bag is activated. If you've already paid shipping we can use this towards your final shipping invoice.

Stored at Buyer’s Risk: Open Cart / Bag is an optional personal courtesy service and not part of the goods or services sold by Oscar’s Treasure Chest. Items are deemed delivered into your possession and held personally by Jasmin, not by Oscar’s Treasure Chest (the business). 

No Responsibility During Hold: Reasonable care is taken, but Jasmin accepts no liability for damage, deterioration, ageing, or loss. No returns, exchanges, or refunds apply for items held in Open Cart / Bag. 

Shipping: Postage is billed separately at exact cost. Discounted rates do not apply. If shipping is not paid within 4 weeks of the final invoice, the order will be treated as abandoned and disposed of with no refund. Abandoned orders will not be refunded, credited, or re-sent under any circumstances. 

Time Limit: Maximum hold is 3 months. The 3-month hold period begins from the date of the first order placed using Open Cart / Bag. Reminders may be sent, but timing is ultimately your responsibility. 

Limitations: Open Cart / Bag is subject to capacity limits. We reserve the right to pause, restrict, or decline new Open Carts at any time, or close your bag earlier due to unforeseen circumstances or space restrictions. The maximum allowance for shipping is 18kgs, or 0.125 m³ - which ever comes first.

 

Duties, Taxes & Import Fees

We do not collect or remit duties, VAT, GST, brokerage, or import taxes on international orders. GST is collected only on New Zealand orders.

All import charges are set by your country and are the buyer’s responsibility. Orders refused, returned, or destroyed due to unpaid duties/taxes will not be refunded.

Please check with your local customs authority before purchasing.

 

Tracking

Tracking details are sent via email once your order is shipped.

 

Lost or Stolen Packages

Risk passes to the buyer once the package is handed to the carrier. We are not responsible for loss or theft after carrier acceptance, to the extent permitted by law. Reasonable assistance with carrier claims will be provided. Ensure your shipping address is correct at checkout.

 

Damaged Items

Contact us within 24 hours of delivery with photos of the packaging and item if your order arrives damaged. Record yourself opening packages with visible external damage to assist with courier claims.


No Local Pickup

Local pickup is not available at this time.

 

Nothing in this policy limits any rights you may have under applicable New Zealand consumer law where it applies.
